The Washington Post confirmed that timestamps of the messages match video footage from the hearing. The texts include Epstein feeding Plaskett key phrases and question prompts. At one critical moment Epstein wrote, “Cohen brought up RONA – keeper of the secrets.” Plaskett replied, “RONA?? Quick I’m up next is that an acronym.”
Minutes later she launched into questions about Rhona Graff and other Trump Organization staff. After she finished her exchange with Cohen, Epstein responded again with, “Good work.”
Epstein continued shaping her approach, even sending, “Hes opened the door to questions re who are the other henchmen at trump org.” Plaskett responded, “Yup. Very aware and waiting my turn.”
The coordination is undeniable. A convicted sex offender was dictating questions inside a congressional hearing targeting the sitting President of the United States.
Plaskett’s Longstanding Ties to Epstein Run Deep
What makes the revelations even more alarming is that this was not some random viewer texting a lawmaker. Plaskett’s connection to Epstein spans years and comes with serious financial entanglements Democrats have tried to downplay.
Epstein donated the maximum legal contribution to her campaigns across multiple election cycles. Plaskett also personally met with Epstein in 2018 at his New York townhouse seeking a thirty thousand dollar donation for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Her professional history lines up uncomfortably close to Epstein’s interests. Before entering Congress she worked for the very Virgin Islands agency that granted Epstein’s companies more than two hundred million dollars in tax benefits. She also used to work at a law firm tied to Epstein’s business operations in the islands.
The texts themselves even show a personal undertone. Epstein wrote, “Great outfit” and “You look great.” Plaskett responded with a simple, “Thanks!”
This was not a distant donor. This was a relationship Democrats desperately hoped the public would never see.
Republicans Move Toward Censure
The backlash is now accelerating. House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Harris is pushing for immediate action, revealing that Republicans are preparing a formal censure resolution.
Harris told reporters, “I think we’re going to have a censure resolution on Delegate Plaskett. It could be introduced today.” He added that Plaskett should be stripped of her seat on the House Intelligence Committee for coordinating with a convicted felon during a congressional proceeding, saying her conduct “does not reflect well on the House of Representatives.”
The Intelligence Committee grants access to the country’s most sensitive national secrets. Harris and other Republicans argue it is unthinkable that someone who allowed Epstein to influence her actions during an official hearing is still trusted with high level classified information.
A censure vote could land on the House floor within days if Republicans choose to introduce it as a privileged measure. Reporters attempted to question House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries but he briskly walked away, only offering, “I have not had a conversation with Stacey Plaskett. In fact, I think Stacey Plaskett has issued a statement as it relates to this and her statement speaks for itself.”
Democrats appear eager to bury the issue. Plaskett released a statement claiming she merely “welcomes information that helps her get at the truth.” That explanation has already been widely mocked as absurd.
Democrats Hid What They Never Wanted Public
Republicans have long pressed for transparency around Epstein’s network and who protected him. Democrats repeatedly fought those efforts. Now the reason appears clear. Epstein was advising one of their own during a Trump targeted hearing and the evidence is finally in the open.
The scandal strikes at the core of Democrat credibility. While they screamed about Trump’s supposed ties to Epstein, the real relationship was unfolding on their side of the aisle. Plaskett’s career now hangs in the balance as Congress prepares to decide whether she should be publicly rebuked for colluding with a convicted predator during an attack on the former President.
The cover up is collapsing and Democrats are running out of places to hide.
