Vice President JD Vance used the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks to draw a blistering contrast between Republicans and a Democratic Party increasingly aligned with controversial figures on the progressive left.
At the center of Vance’s criticism was Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed and his relationship with left-wing streamer Hasan Piker, whose notorious comments about the 9/11 attacks have followed him for years.
Piker sparked widespread outrage in 2019 when he told his Twitch audience that “America deserved 9/11” and that the country “totally brought it on ourselves.”
