The Department of Justice has quietly cut ties with one of its own — and the details are jaw-dropping. Roger Alford, a high-ranking DOJ official, was recently fired after pushing back on a national security case involving a major tech merger with ties to China.
Alford, who branded himself as a “genuine MAGA reformer,” is now exposed as anything but. Records obtained by the Daily Caller show that for years he trashed Trump’s America First economic agenda while praising the Chinese Communist regime.
The Merger Fight That Exposed Him
The breaking point came when Alford opposed the DOJ’s decision to settle a merger between Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Juniper. The deal had raised red flags over national security and Chinese competition.
