A Massachusetts true-crime enthusiast accused of recording jurors involved in the closely watched Lindsay Clancy murder trial walked out of court Wednesday without having to post bail, despite prosecutors arguing that the alleged conduct posed a serious threat to the integrity of the proceedings.
Dawn Light, 56, appeared in Plymouth Superior Court after being arrested Tuesday afternoon. A not-guilty plea was entered on her behalf to a single charge of intimidation of a witness, juror or person providing information in connection with criminal proceedings.
Prosecutors had sought $50,000 in cash bail, warning the judge that Light’s alleged actions went beyond ordinary courthouse spectatorship.
