DHS Chief: ‘The Blood Is on Their Hands’

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin delivered a blistering assessment of the Biden administration’s handling of the southern border Thursday, arguing that deaths tied to the immigration crisis could have been avoided had the previous administration embraced tougher enforcement measures.

Appearing on Fox News with Sean Hannity, Mullin accused former President Joe Biden and his administration of having the legal tools necessary to clamp down on illegal immigration but refusing to use them.

The former Oklahoma Republican senator pointed to the Trump administration’s actions at the border as evidence that a president already possesses substantial authority to dramatically change immigration enforcement without waiting for Congress.
