Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has had enough of California Governor Gavin Newsom’s political theater. While California spirals under the weight of crime, homelessness, and destructive policies, Newsom has been more concerned with posting on social media than governing.
This week, DeSantis appeared on Fox News’ Hannity to discuss the deadly trucking accident that left three Americans dead — an accident entirely avoidable if California leaders had prioritized public safety. The driver responsible was in the country illegally, could not read English road signs, and had been granted not one but two commercial driver’s licenses under California’s lax policies.
According to DeSantis, this tragedy is the direct result of sanctuary laws pushed by Newsom and his allies. Instead of addressing the chaos in his state, Newsom has been spending his time trading cheap shots online with President Donald Trump.
“Look at the Governor of California. He’s getting cheeky on social media against President Trump,” DeSantis said on the program.
