One of the ways illegal immigrants allegedly secured these Social Security numbers was by filing flimsy asylum claims, many of which never hold up in court. Over 95% of these claims are eventually rejected by immigration judges, yet while the system churns, those applicants are permitted to live and work in the U.S.—with government support.
“That document allowed them to work while they waited to hear whether their asylum requests were being accepted or denied,” Varney explained.
The results? A growing number of non-citizens using these government-issued IDs to tap into welfare programs and government services.
DOGE officials claim that 1.3 million of these individuals are now on Medicaid. Others have received driver’s licenses. Some have even registered to vote, and yes—according to Musk’s team—some did vote.
“DOGE also discovered that 1.3 million aliens are now receiving Medicaid,” said Varney. “Millions received drivers licenses, some registered to vote, and DOGE said some actually did vote.”

“Try and square that against Democrat claims that Musk is destroying Social Security and cutting Medicaid,” he countered. “He’s not destroying, he’s weeding out people who don’t qualify. Who is really guilty of misinformation in this case? It is not Elon Musk.”

“This is the tip of the iceberg, guys,” he warned. “This doesn’t include the 7.8 million that ICE has let come in illegally that we know are here and all the people who are here illegally who we don’t know are here.”

“We mapped this through the benefit programs, we found every benefits program that is being accessed by these people, 1.3 million are on Medicaid right now, today. And by the way, it’s just ramping up, it’s just starting.”
