Two Democrat Senators are coming unglued over former President Donald Trump’s strong response to the spiraling violence in Los Angeles—and their outrage is as baffling as it is telling.
With radical anti-ICE demonstrators turning LA into a war zone, President Trump didn’t hesitate to act. He deployed the National Guard to protect law enforcement and stabilize the situation, putting American safety first. But instead of praising swift action, Democrats like Cory Booker and Chris Murphy chose to launch wild political attacks.
Appearing on NBC’s Meet the Press, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker went into full spin mode, trying to draw a straight line between January 6 and Trump’s efforts to stop mayhem in California.
“We are now at a point where we have a president who sat back and did nothing as people stormed our Capitol, viciously beat police,” Booker said.
The senator conveniently left out the fact that President Trump explicitly told his supporters to remain peaceful and go home during the Capitol incident. That didn’t stop Booker from accusing Trump of inaction while, at the same time, vilifying his action to defend LA law enforcement.
