The mask has slipped — and Democrats just said the quiet part out loud.
According to CNN, top Democratic aides have admitted that they are willing to keep the federal government shut down “for several more weeks” if Republicans don’t cave to their demand to fund taxpayer-paid healthcare for illegal immigrants. One aide even said Democrats won’t back down until “planes [are] falling out of the sky.”
Schumer’s Shutdown, Not Trump’s
The Schumer Shutdown began at 12:01 a.m. on October 1 after two funding measures failed to pass the Senate. House Republicans had already approved a clean, short-term stopgap bill to keep the government open through November — but Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer rejected it outright.
Instead of working with Republicans to protect the paychecks of U.S. troops, air traffic controllers, and federal workers, Schumer and Senate Democrats chose political theater. Their decision shuttered vital federal operations, left airports struggling, and threw travel into chaos — all to force Republicans to fund healthcare for people who broke America’s laws.
Airports Go Dark While Democrats Play Games
Almost immediately, air travel was hit hard. Flight delays mounted as federal aviation employees were caught in the crossfire. Yet Democrats appeared unmoved, more focused on protecting illegal aliens than safeguarding national security or the economy.
