A New York Democratic congressional candidate is facing renewed scrutiny after photographs from his past resurfaced online, drawing attention to an adult-themed photo shoot conducted years before he entered the current congressional race.
Chris Gallant, 37, is the Democratic nominee challenging Republican Rep. Nick LaLota in New York’s 1st Congressional District. Gallant’s political campaign has now been forced to address photographs associated with Mr. S Leather, a San Francisco-based retailer known for selling fetish-oriented apparel and equipment.
The photographs reportedly date back years and appeared online during a period when Gallant was involved in his personal life and had not yet embarked on a career in public service.
According to a report from the New York Post, archived versions of the retailer’s website contained photographs featuring Gallant modeling various leather and bondage-related products. Some additional images later appeared on third-party adult websites that were not affiliated with the retailer.
