The radical left is at it again, this time rallying outside the Social Security Administration Headquarters in Maryland to protest the efforts of President Trump and Elon Musk to rein in government spending. What should have been a peaceful demonstration quickly took a turn when Democrat Representative Kweisi Mfume made an alarming call for action, stating, “This will be a congressional fight, a constitutional fight, a legal fight. And on days like this: a street fight!”
With emotions running high, it appears the left is once again resorting to dangerous rhetoric to oppose Trump’s policies. The rally, which took place Monday in Woodlawn, Maryland—just outside Baltimore—was spearheaded by Maryland Democrats, including Senators Chris Van Hollen and Angela Alsobrooks, as well as Representatives Mfume, Johnny Olszewski, and Sarah Elfreth.

The demonstration was aimed at denouncing what the left perceives as budget cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid—claims the Trump administration has repeatedly refuted. At the center of the controversy is the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a key initiative of the administration, which Mfume mockingly referred to as the “Department of Government Evil.”
