A tragic traffic accident in Florida has claimed the lives of three innocent Americans, highlighting once again the deadly consequences of the nation’s broken immigration system.
The driver, a foreign national who should never have been in the country—or behind the wheel—was not the only party to blame. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier is now turning his attention to the company that employed this “disaster waiting to happen.”
Singh illegally crossed the southern border in 2018. Despite his limited English skills, California granted him a commercial driver’s license—a decision that would have catastrophic consequences.
On August 12, Singh was driving his big rig on the Florida Turnpike near Fort Pierce when he attempted an illegal U-turn. His trailer jackknifed, and a minivan collided directly into it. All three passengers in the van were killed.
