This bombshell suggests that the Deep State wasn’t just protecting Comey — it was burying damaging material that could expose just how politicized and dangerous the Bureau became under his watch.
While Bongino and Patel are knee-deep in the mess Comey left behind, the former FBI chief has been trying to claw his way back into the spotlight. His latest move? Posting a photo on social media with seashells arranged to spell out “86 47” — a not-so-subtle jab at Donald Trump, the 47th President.
Bongino didn’t mince words on Fox & Friends, calling Comey “a disgrace to the badge” and “a big child” for pulling such a reckless stunt.
He added that the social media post forced the Bureau to divert resources to investigate copycat threats, proving once again that Comey’s antics still have real-world consequences.
According to Bongino, the stash of documents they discovered wasn’t even logged in the standard FBI systems. It was stuffed away in bags, never digitized or filed properly — clear signs that someone wanted it buried.
“Once that gets done and that gets out there, and you read some of the stuff, we found that, by the way, was not processed through the normal procedure, digitizing it, putting it in FBI records. We found it in bags hiding under Jim Comey’s FBI, and you’re going to be stunned!” Bongino exclaimed.
This hidden cache has sparked renewed calls for transparency — especially concerning the Epstein files and other high-level investigations. Critics have questioned why these documents haven’t been released yet.
Bongino addressed that head-on.
“And just so you know, because I get the public, I totally understand people saying, ‘Well, do it now.’ The process is [that] not all information is ours to declassify; some is other intelligence agencies, it’s not– we literally can’t do it,” Bongino explained.
While some are growing impatient, Bongino insists that rushing the process would do more harm than good. He believes the final results will speak for themselves — and shake the nation to its core.
“Just wait for the results,” Bongino stated. “That’s all I’m asking.”
He emphasized that the Bureau can’t “advertise” what it’s working on, but said the public should prepare for serious revelations once the files are processed and released.
When Trump appointed Kash Patel and Dan Bongino to lead the FBI’s turnaround earlier this year, many questioned whether the institution could even be salvaged. Years of weaponization under Obama-era holdovers and operatives like Comey left the agency in tatters.
But Bongino isn’t backing down. He knows the stakes are high — and he’s making it clear that real accountability is coming.
This is the beginning of a reckoning, and if Bongino’s claims are true, James Comey and his allies in the Deep State may have a lot to answer for.
