During an appearance on Herridge’s program “Straight to the Point,” Comer was pressed directly on whether this record reflects what Washington now calls accountability.
Herridge asked him bluntly:
“I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of the comments on X. This is a very popular chart on X. It says zero arrests for some scandals that are very important to Republicans. Is that what accountability looks like?”
Comer did not dodge the question.
“That’s the biggest complaint of every Republican on the House Oversight Committee: there haven’t been enough arrests. Now, some of those issues—I don’t know—it’s going to be hard to arrest people.”
While Comer acknowledged the legal challenges involved in some cases, he zeroed in on one issue that Republicans believe should already be in court: the Biden autopen scandal.

House Oversight investigators have argued that the extensive use of an autopen during the final year of the Biden administration raises serious constitutional questions. The concern centers on whether major pardons, executive orders, and official documents were signed without the direct authorization of then President Joe Biden.
After the Oversight Committee released its findings, President Donald Trump made a dramatic declaration in December, stating that all documents signed via Biden’s autopen were invalid.
Comer explained that despite Trump’s declaration, the Department of Justice has failed to take the necessary legal steps.
“Now, President Trump—after we issued our report—said he was going to declare them null and void. But I don’t believe the paperwork has ever been done, and you’re still going to have to go to court for that.”
According to Comer, the groundwork has already been laid.
“Our congressional investigation will serve as the basis to uphold the declaration of those pardons and executive orders being declared null and void. Someone from the Department of Justice just has to take it to court.”
Herridge then asked the question many conservatives are already asking.
“So someone from the Justice Department has not picked up the ball yet?”
Comer’s response was direct and damning.
“It appears that way.”
Republicans argue that the viral chart captures a double standard that Americans can no longer ignore. They point to aggressive prosecutions aimed at Trump and his allies while long running scandals involving Democrats appear to stall indefinitely.
Despite sworn testimony, subpoenaed records, and months of investigation, the DOJ under Bondi has yet to initiate court proceedings related to the autopen controversy. No indictments. No arrests. No courtroom battles.
To critics, the scoreboard tells the entire story.
Zero arrests.
As pressure mounts, conservatives are calling on Attorney General Bondi to act decisively and restore public confidence in the justice system. Without meaningful accountability, they warn, the perception of a two tiered system of justice will only continue to grow.
For millions of Americans watching from the sidelines, the message is simple. Investigations without consequences are not accountability. And patience is running out.
