Elon Musk may be dreaming of shaking up Washington with his shiny new “America Party,” but according to CNN’s own numbers man, the idea is about as doomed as selling ice to penguins—and he can’t stop laughing about it.
During a segment on “CNN News Central,” CNN’s chief data analyst, Harry Enten, practically mocked Musk’s political ambitions on live television. Enten revealed that only a tiny fraction of voters—just 4 percent—actually like Musk while disliking the Republican Party. Translation: Musk’s third-party movement has virtually no base.
“This entire thing makes very little sense to me. It makes about as much sense as selling sand in the desert,” Enten exclaimed, chuckling at the notion of Musk trying to carve out his own political lane.
