Cincinnati Suspect Pays Pennies on $300k Bond!

If you ever find yourself facing charges in court, apparently all you need to do is mention January 6. At least in Cincinnati, that tactic seems to work — because it just got two violent crime suspects a shocking bond reduction.

Judge Cuts Bond by 99%

Court hearings are moving forward for the women accused in the brutal July 26 attack that went viral on social media. Originally, Judge Alan Triggs set bond at $200,000 for 24-year-old Dekyra Vernon and $300,000 for 25-year-old Aisha Devaughn.

But this week, he drastically slashed both figures — dropping them down to just $25,000 each. With the standard 10 percent cash requirement, that means the suspects only had to pay $2,500 to walk free.

Defense Uses Jan. 6 as Comparison

Vernon’s attorney, Clyde Bennett II, insisted that his client was being unfairly overcharged. In an attempt to reframe the case, he invoked one of the Left’s favorite political obsessions: January 6.
