Chuck Schumer Goes Nuts Over Trump’s Bill!

In another stunning display of melodrama, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., has declared that former President Donald Trump’s proposed budget bill is basically a death sentence for Americans. Yes, you read that right — Schumer has now dubbed the legislation the “We’re All Going to Die Act.” If this sounds absurd, that’s because it is.

This is the same party that warned of civilization-ending consequences over Net Neutrality, climate change deadlines, and even Supreme Court nominations. Time and again, Democrats lean into hysteria, and this latest episode is no exception.

During remarks on the Senate floor, Schumer sounded the alarm over potential cuts to Medicaid in Trump’s “big, beautiful bill,” warning Republicans that supporting the proposal would spell political suicide. “For many Americans, health care coverage is the difference between life and death,” Schumer declared, clutching his pearls while accusing the GOP of prioritizing tax breaks for the wealthy over the health of average Americans.

His name for the legislation, the “We’re All Going to Die Act,” was inspired by Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, who quipped, “Well, we’re all going to die,” when hecklers at a town hall shouted that the bill’s spending reforms would result in death. Rather than consider Ernst’s offhand comment as gallows humor, Schumer twisted it into a full-blown slogan for doom and gloom.
