The media frenzy ignited by Elon Musk’s recent accusations against President Donald Trump just took a dramatic legal turn—one that could cost Musk dearly.
After Musk took to X (formerly Twitter) to imply Trump’s name appears in the long-shielded Epstein files, many wondered why the former president hadn’t fired back. Now, NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo thinks he knows why—and his theory could change everything.
“I just don’t know what his leverage is, to be honest,” Cuomo said on his Thursday night program. “I mean, unless he’s got the proof that he has the files… I don’t know what he’s thinking.”
That confusion came after Musk launched a digital missile at Trump by posting:
“@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That’s the real reason they haven’t been made public.”
And he didn’t stop there.
Musk then quote-tweeted a post linking Trump to Epstein’s plane rides, cryptically reacting with a single raised-eyebrow emoji. The post repeated old, debunked claims that Trump flew on Epstein’s plane seven times—without a shred of evidence that he ever stepped foot on the infamous island.
