A newly uncovered surveillance video has sent shockwaves through the conservative community — and raised fresh questions about how a young man accused of a politically motivated killing could appear so unnervingly calm just hours after the act.
Authorities in Utah released footage showing 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, the man charged with assassinating Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, casually refueling his Dodge Challenger at a Cedar City gas station the morning after the brutal shooting. The timestamp: 7:15 a.m., September 11 — less than a day after Kirk was gunned down during a campus event at Utah Valley University.
The Calm After the Killing
In the video, Robinson exits his vehicle, pays with a credit card, and fills his tank without so much as a glance around. Investigators described his demeanor as “completely unconcerned,” moving with the same casual ease as any commuter starting their day.
He was still wearing a maroon shirt and dark hat, matching the outfit seen in earlier surveillance footage from a local Dairy Queen taken just hours after the assassination.
