It didn’t take long for the Democrats to start lashing out after President Trump’s triumphant return to the White House. His cabinet picks are rolling out one after the other, and the left is already in full-blown meltdown mode. But their latest attack hit a new low—and it backfired in spectacular fashion.
During a recent House Ways and Means Committee hearing, California Democrat Rep. Linda Sanchez tried to score cheap political points by accusing Trump’s newly appointed Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, of sexism. But instead of applause, she was met with audible groans, boos, and visible embarrassment.
The hearing, meant to focus on trade policy and the administration’s plans to combat unfair practices by China, quickly went off the rails when Sanchez attempted to twist the conversation into a “woke” moment.
While questioning Bessent about tariffs and their effects on consumers, Sanchez didn’t like being corrected—and she lashed out.
“Please don’t interrupt me, the time is mine,” Sanchez snapped. “I know I’m a woman but please try to limit yourself to answering my questions.”
