Major Smuggling Routes Exposed Along Canadian Border

A troubling gap in Canada’s immigration enforcement system has come under renewed scrutiny after an investigative documentary claimed that nearly 50,000 foreign students cannot be accounted for—and that some may have been funneled into the United States through organized smuggling operations.

The documentary, produced by Turning Point USA’s Frontlines, takes viewers along Canada’s southern border as correspondents Tayler Hansen and Kian Simone investigate the disappearance of foreign students from Canada’s immigration tracking system. Their investigation includes interviews with journalists, encounters with alleged smugglers advertising their services online, and tests of how quickly Canadian authorities respond at known crossing locations.

The film begins with testimony before a Canadian parliamentary committee concerning thousands of foreign students who allegedly failed to comply with the conditions attached to their visas.
