In a discovery that has reignited concerns about election security, a California resident stumbled upon nearly a dozen mail-in ballots dumped in a storm drain near his home. Jay Senese, a resident of Sierra Madre, made the shocking find while doing yard work on Saturday, further fueling debate over the integrity of the mail-in voting process.
According to a report from ABC 7, Senese was cleaning up around his property when he noticed something out of place in the storm drain adjacent to his house. What initially appeared to be a pile of junk mail soon turned out to be something much more alarming.

“We’re trained here to keep stuff out of the storm drain. So I got down on my hands and knees and dug around a little bit and started pulling it out,” Senese told ABC 7. “I pulled out a bunch of junk mail—Ralphs ads and Aldi—and these ballots were mixed in with the junk mail. Of course, they caught my attention because we’re seeing on TV about all the care being taken to prevent fraud and misuse of ballots. It seemed a strange place for ballots to be.”
