In a stunning display of defiance, a California woman was arrested on Thursday after she tore down an American flag at a Bakersfield park, replaced it with a Mexican flag, and made inflammatory remarks against law enforcement.
Crystal Aguilar, 24, was taken into custody by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office following the brazen act of vandalism. According to KERO-TV, deputies responded to a report at 9:36 a.m. regarding a suspect attempting to steal the American flag from the park. Upon arrival, they discovered Aguilar and a vehicle stuck in the mud near the flagpole.
