“When Park Rangers attempted to detain Aguilar, she physically resisted and made multiple verbal threats against them,” the Kern County Sheriff’s Office revealed in a statement.
In a video circulating online, Aguilar can be heard yelling, “You’re not going to tell me what to do, this is Mexican land,” followed by an expletive.
As officers tried to take her into custody, she escalated her threats, stating, “My people kill you.” She went on to issue a disturbing warning, shouting, “Touch me, motherf***er, and … your kid dies.”
Despite her resistance, Aguilar was ultimately subdued and arrested. She now faces a list of charges including trespassing, resisting arrest, making criminal threats against an officer, vandalism, and possession of marijuana in a public park.
Aguilar is set to appear in court on Monday, according to KGET-TV.
Reports indicate this was not Aguilar’s first protest. The day before the flag incident, she was seen demonstrating at the same location, railing against what she claims is a system that failed her.
“I’m a child of Mexican parents who were deported,” she said. “I ended up in the system, a system that failed me, and like me, there’s many cases.”

Her statements, however, stand in stark contrast to the reality of U.S. immigration policy. Republican Rep. Vince Fong of California addressed the incident, pointing out that Aguilar’s anger was misdirected.
“The president has been very clear that the focus of these operations is to deal with criminals who are convicted or doing harm,” Fong stated.
The shocking episode has sparked outrage, with many Americans questioning how someone could commit such a disrespectful act against the nation’s flag. As Aguilar prepares for her court date, the case continues to gain national attention, further fueling discussions on immigration, law enforcement, and patriotism.
