Dangerous Consequences

“It was inevitable that the leaks would cause harm to the officers,” he said, explaining how criminal elements could set traps for ICE teams.
When Hannity pressed him on whether he was sure the FBI was involved, Homan was firm. “I talked to the deputy attorney general this week and they’ve opened up a criminal investigation. He thinks the information is coming from [the FBI],” he revealed.
With an official probe now underway, those responsible for the leaks could face serious legal consequences. “We’ll let that investigation play out,” Homan stated. “But some of the leads point that way.”
If found guilty, Homan promised swift and severe punishment. “Not only will this person lose their job [and] they will lose their pension, they will go to jail, they’re going to criminally prosecute,” he warned.
Targeted Interference From the Left
These leaks aren’t happening in a vacuum. Democrats have openly attempted to interfere with ICE operations, going so far as to advise illegal immigrants on how to evade law enforcement.

Rep. Dan Goldman, a Democrat from New York, has been under fire for using his platform to warn illegal aliens about ICE raids. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Goldman urged migrants to stay alert. “Every New Yorker has rights when they interact with immigration enforcement,” he wrote. “No matter what the next four years bring, stay informed, stay safe, and stay together.”
In a video accompanying the post, Goldman doubled down, saying, “These are certainly uncertain times, but no matter what, it’s important that you know your rights when interacting with law enforcement.” He even encouraged migrants to “make a plan for ICE encounters” and provided resources for free legal representation if they were detained.
Homan was outraged, calling it a blatant attempt to obstruct federal law enforcement. “We’ve already identified how this operation got leaked. I’ll deal with that today,” he told Fox News host Harris Faulkner. He added that ICE is now working closely with the Department of Justice and may seek legal action against those who actively interfere with immigration enforcement.
“This is not a game. This is a dangerous job,” he declared. “To have this type of interference puts the officers at great risk.”
Republicans Demand Accountability
Conservatives are sounding the alarm over Democrats’ coordinated efforts to undermine ICE. Republican lawmakers have slammed figures like Goldman for encouraging illegal immigrants to defy federal law.
“It’s completely disgraceful that Democrats are going to such extreme lengths to aid illegals—even going as far as using their official accounts to give instructions on evading ICE!” Republican Rep. Mark Harris of North Carolina said in an interview.
He warned that this was just the beginning of an all-out war against President Trump’s immigration agenda. “This is just the beginning of their extreme tactics to obstruct President Trump’s agenda. Speaking in Chinese or Spanish won’t hide the Left’s message: they care more about criminal aliens than the safety of the American people,” he added.
Homan has repeatedly emphasized that obstructing ICE operations is not just unethical—it’s illegal. In a December interview, he cited federal laws prohibiting the harboring of illegal aliens and obstruction of federal officers, both of which carry felony penalties.

ICE officials have also weighed in, clarifying that U.S. citizens are not targeted for arrest, but officers may need to confirm identities in the field. “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement may encounter U.S. citizens while conducting fieldwork and may request identification to establish an individual’s identity,” an agency spokesperson told the Daily Caller.
