Initially set for September 18, the sentencing is now scheduled for November 26. The decision was made by Judge Juan Merchan, who expressed the gravity of the situation in his ruling.
“This is not a decision this Court makes lightly but it is the decision which in this Court’s view, best advances the interests of justice,” Judge Merchan explained, according to a report by NBC News.
