In a significant decision ahead of the 2024 elections, the U.S. Supreme Court has chosen not to entertain a challenge against Oregon’s long-established mail-in voting system. Oregon, which pioneered universal mail-in voting following a 1998 referendum, has maintained this approach since the year 2000.
The plaintiffs in the case argued that mail-in voting could potentially disenfranchise legitimate voters through fraudulent votes. However, their claims were not backed by specific allegations of fraud in any Oregon elections. After a district court dismissed the lawsuit last summer, an appeal was made to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which also ruled against the plaintiffs in December.

The appellate court noted that the plaintiffs did not provide concrete evidence that their votes were discounted or that any specific election was fraudulently influenced. They stated, “Plaintiffs do not allege that their votes were not counted, nor do they identify with sufficient particularity how any given election in Oregon was fraudulently manipulated through the vote-by-mail or computerized tabulation systems.” The court emphasized that the plaintiffs’ concerns were too speculative to merit standing.

We can see today just how corrupt our system is. Why should we have mail in ballots instead of the old fashioned ways. Mail in ballots certainly from Nursing Homes can be compromised. The only way a mail in ballot should be accepted, if a person is serving in the military overseas; someone unable to walk, talk or understand what they are actually signing. I still believe you have too many hands messing with mail in ballots. I’m 79 years old, but I don’t like standing in line for hours, but it is my duty to our Country. Now, N.Y. is going to allow illegals to vote. Democrats try everything to their advantage to stay in power.
