A peaceful morning Mass at Annunciation Church and Catholic School in Minneapolis was shattered by gunfire on Wednesday, leaving families and the community in shock. The terrifying incident unfolded as students filled the church pews for their weekly service when chaos suddenly erupted.
Witnesses described scenes of heartbreak as frightened children were escorted from the school. CBS Minnesota aired disturbing reports of students leaving with bandages wrapped around their arms. One reporter, visibly emotional, admitted to choking back tears while recounting what she saw. A graphic aired by CBS suggested that “as many as 20” individuals may have been injured.

Hospitals are now scrambling to treat young victims. According to the Associated Press, at least five children were rushed to a local Minneapolis hospital with injuries from the shooting. The extent of their conditions has not yet been revealed, but parents have gathered anxiously at the scene seeking answers.
Authorities confirmed that the shooter is no longer a threat. Initial reports indicate the suspect, dressed head-to-toe in black, may have taken his own life before police were able to intervene. The Richfield Police Department stated bluntly, “A man dressed in all black and armed with a rifle was reported at the scene.”
