A brand new survey just sent tremors through Washington and delivered a political jolt the establishment did not see coming. A little-known polling outfit, Napolitan News Service, released data showing Republicans now holding a clear edge on the 2026 congressional ballot. And even though the mainstream media is scrambling to downplay it, the numbers speak for themselves.
The poll, conducted online by Scott Rasmussen with fieldwork from RMG Research, surveyed two thousand registered voters between December 1 and 4. With a margin of error of three point one percent, the results landed like a thunderclap in a political climate Democrats believed they controlled.

Voters were asked, “If the election were held today, would you vote for the Republican from your district or the Democrat from your district?” For a political class obsessed with messaging cycles, fundraising committees, and media spin, this one question offered an unfiltered snapshot of the electorate.
And the answer should terrify Democrats.
Republicans pulled in forty five percent of registered voters, while Democrats lagged behind at forty one percent. When leaners were included, the conservative advantage remained intact at forty eight percent to forty four percent. In a political environment where even a one-point shift can upend congressional control, a four-point GOP lead is nothing short of seismic.
