Orem, Utah — A wave of grief and outrage swept across Utah Valley University after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was gunned down while addressing students on campus. Now, authorities have stepped forward with chilling new details about the hunt for his killer.
At a packed press conference in Orem, officials from the FBI and the Utah Department of Public Safety outlined what they know so far and described a manhunt stretching from the campus rooftops to quiet neighborhood streets.
According to investigators, the shooter arrived on campus shortly before the attack and managed to escape after leaping from a building into a nearby neighborhood. Utah official Beau Mason told reporters the suspect’s every move was carefully tracked.
