By allowing 360,000 admissions by the end of 2023, the Temporary Protected Status designation that former President Donald Trump had previously wanted is now being used in an effort to reduce unauthorized crossings of our southern border.

According to the Pew Research Center, if the proposal is adopted, it will represent a huge advancement in legal immigration that has not been witnessed since the past.
Republicans are poised to advance the notion that President Biden has crossed a constitutional line by seeking to execute immigration reforms without legislative approval as he prepares to start his reelection campaign this week. As those opposed go to the courts to declare such measures unconstitutional or at least an abuse of authority, this will definitely lead to legal action. In fact, 20 states led by GOP lawmakers have already filed federal court paperwork contesting the legality of the program.
“This constitutes yet another episode in which the administration has abused its executive authority in furtherance of its apparent objective for immigration policy: open borders and amnesty for all,” Ken Paxton, the state’s attorney general, stated.
An expedited work visa and employer sponsorship are now options for people entering the country on humanitarian grounds, giving them a better chance of finding job sooner. Prior restrictions required migrants to wait six months while their cases were pending; today, they have access to speedier routes to productive employment and self-sufficiency.
Left-wing critics of Biden’s current immigration position are contending that his plans limit aid to only four nations when many more need assistance across the world, which has ignited a contentious discussion.
