The race for president of the United States in 2020 was the most heated ever. Despite having a hugely successful campaign, President Trump was defeated by Joe Biden, an ailing politician who shunned public appearances and was accused of corruption and mental decline. On election day, it looked like Trump would win; however, days later, returns started to flow in from various states and counties, and eventually enough votes were counted to give Biden the victory. Only time will tell what effect this historic outcome will have on our country moving forward.
On election day in 2022, thousands of conservatives were denied the chance to speak out. In Arizona alone, more than 60% of polling places encountered technical difficulties, with the machines freezing up and being unable to tally ballots because of incorrect sizes. More than 72% of voters on that tragic day had this dream dashed because Republicans waited until the very last minute to cast their ballots; this is a heartbreaking circumstance.

Democrats support a democratic vision in which difficult-to-use voting machines, piles of ballots left at polling places after Election Day, a lack of voter identification requirements, and access to drop boxes days before the election itself allow for fair and free elections.
Democrats demonstrated their strength in 2020 and 2024 by taking advantage of early voting opportunities, gathering ballots to boost turnout, and inflating voter lists through mail-in ballot measures, which led to victories for the Democratic Party.
Election Day was quickly approaching, and the mood was tense. Democrats were far ahead, but the Republicans weren’t going down without a fight! They employed techniques created with a single objective in mind: outperforming what many deemed at best a dubious voting system and ultimately declaring victory.
Republicans and Democrats’ political differences have widened recently, and neither party seems to be able to find common ground on any topic. As a result, progress appears further away for a country that is so split along political lines.
The Republican Party has given in to a perilous ideology by refusing to acknowledge the flaws in our electoral processes and turning a blind eye to them. They won’t address this problem until they do, thus the party will keep disintegrating.

‘Beat Dems at their own game’: GOP embraces major change ahead of 2024 fights
Republicans are going on the offensive ahead of the 2024 cycle, vowing to defeat Democrats by using one of their greatest assets against them: early voting.
The Republican National Committee posted a short tweet on Friday, claiming the GOP would “beat the Dems at their own early voting game in 2024.” The statement comes as Republicans have begun reconsidering their stance on early voting and ballot harvesting, particularly after the party’s lackluster performance in the midterm elections.
“Our voters need to vote early,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel told Fox News in December after the 2022 elections. “There were many in 2020 saying, ‘Don’t vote by mail, don’t vote early,’ and we have to stop that and understand that if Democrats are getting ballots in for a month, we can’t expect to get it all done in one day.”
Since the 2020 election, several Republicans have taken a staunch anti-absentee and mail-in voting stance, claiming the practice has made elections susceptible to widespread voter fraud. Former President Donald Trump especially clung to these theories, claiming baselessly that such fraud was responsible for his loss in the 2020 presidential election.
