Newly released photographs from the federal investigation into Joe Biden’s handling of classified materials are reigniting questions about how the Justice Department and FBI handled the matter compared with their treatment of Donald Trump.
The photographs were obtained and released by the Oversight Project following litigation seeking records connected to searches at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C., and Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware, residence. According to the organization, the government had fought the release of the images for years.
The Oversight Project argues that the photographs reveal a striking difference in how federal investigators visually handled the evidence in the Biden investigation compared with the highly publicized search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in August 2022.
“The pictures confirm what many suspected all along: Joe Biden got the kid-glove treatment, while President Trump was presumed guilty,” the Oversight Project said in a press release.
