Biden Boots 3,000 NC Families Days After LA Libs Pledge

As President Joe Biden’s administration enters its twilight days, his priorities are becoming painfully clear. Unfortunately for many Americans, those priorities seem out of touch with the needs of struggling families, especially those caught in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina.

Last week, Biden pledged that the federal government would cover 100 percent of the costs associated with the devastating Southern California wildfires for the next six months. At a White House briefing, Biden assured the nation, “Spare no expense to do what they need to do and contain these fires,” calling the situation in California “devastating” and “catastrophic.”

The move, on the surface, seems reasonable. Helping victims of disasters is what federal aid is designed to do. However, the glaring issue isn’t the assistance itself—it’s the selective prioritization of which disasters receive federal attention. While the wealthy, largely liberal communities of Malibu and surrounding areas are being promised full support, thousands of families in North Carolina are being left to fend for themselves in freezing conditions.
