Federal authorities say they moved swiftly to neutralize what they describe as a credible and deeply disturbing threat against Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, after a young Ohio man allegedly posted violent calls to murder federal officers and engage in extremist hate speech online.
According to court filings, Justin Novoa, a 21-year-old from Columbus, appeared before a federal judge this week and will remain behind bars as prosecutors push forward with their case. Novoa waived his detention hearing and is currently being held without bond at the Franklin County Jail.
The case stems from an investigation launched by Homeland Security Investigations after agents were alerted to a series of violent social media posts allegedly authored by Novoa. Investigators say the posts explicitly encouraged the killing of ICE agents and other Americans based on political beliefs.
Court records show authorities were first alerted on December 11, 2025, to posts made under the X handle “@Father2High.” One post from June 8, 2025, allegedly read that “they should blast every ice agent they find.” A later post from November escalated further, stating, “cant wait to shoot these p*y ice agents and ret**d maga maggots.”
