The advisory was accompanied by a photo of the flyers found in the suspect’s vehicle.
“The photo is of flyers inside the vehicle of the suspect in today’s shootings,” state police stated in an X post.

The violent rampage claimed the lives of Democratic–Farmer–Labor (DFL) Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark. Another state lawmaker, Senator John Hoffman, and his wife were severely wounded during a separate but likely connected attack. Both were rushed to a local hospital and required surgery.
“The Hoffmans are out of surgery at this time and receiving care, and we are cautiously optimally optimistic, they will survive this assassination attempt,” Governor Tim Walz announced.
Authorities say the assailant posed as a police officer and was wearing body armor when he executed the attacks. Surveillance reports indicate he arrived at Hortman’s Brooklyn Park residence in a vehicle made to resemble a squad car. When officers attempted to engage the suspect, he opened fire and fled the scene.
A manhunt is now underway, involving the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the FBI, local police, and the Minnesota State Patrol. The suspect is described as a white male with brown hair, wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, and black body armor.
In a statement released Saturday, President Trump weighed in on the unfolding crisis:
“I have been briefed on the terrible shooting that took place in Minnesota, which appears to be a targeted attack against State Lawmakers. Our Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and the FBI, are investigating the situation, and they will be prosecuting anyone involved to the fullest extent of the law.”
“Such horrific violence will not be tolerated in the United States of America. God Bless the great people of Minnesota, a truly great place!”
Adding to the gravity of the threat, police reportedly recovered a manifesto from the suspect’s vehicle detailing future plans to target additional Minnesota lawmakers. As a result, all state representatives have been placed under protective watch in coordination with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
Governor Walz, who was scheduled to attend one of the controversial “No Kings” rallies in downtown Minneapolis, abruptly cancelled his appearance as authorities warned against large gatherings.
“Local law enforcement in Champlin and Brooklyn Park have the full resources of the State of Minnesota behind them,” Walz stated. “We are monitoring the situation closely and will share more information soon.”
While the mainstream media continues to downplay politically motivated violence from the Left, the implications of this case are explosive. A far-left protester, possibly radicalized by a movement funded by elite Democrat donors, has allegedly executed a deadly attack targeting elected officials—all while national protests against Trump were ramping up across the country.
As the investigation develops, Americans are left wondering: how many more “peaceful protests” will turn deadly before the public starts connecting the dots?
