Despite the media’s outrage cycle and the Squad’s wailing, the Department of Homeland Security has already given its blessing to the project. It’s happening—no matter how many tantrums are thrown in Congress.
Democrats have flooded the airwaves with complaints, but Florida’s AG just shut them all down in one blunt, unapologetic interview.
Appearing on Newsmax’s Carl Higbie FRONTLINE, Uthmeier delivered a scathing rebuke of the opposition.
“I tell you, AOC and some of these communist members of Congress, if they want to come and cry in front of this detention center, good luck finding it. It’s right in the middle of the Everglades,” Uthmeier said.
No sugar-coating. No political double-speak. Just straight facts from Florida’s top legal officer.
Uthmeier went even further, revealing that Governor Ron DeSantis has ordered Florida’s agencies to do “anything possible to help President [Donald] Trump detain and deport illegal immigrants.”
And this isn’t just political grandstanding. Uthmeier pointed to actual results:
“Just last week we pulled more MS-13 members off the streets in Orlando. The week before, I announced a lifetime conviction of a criminal alien sex trafficker,” he said.
These aren’t statistics. They’re the faces of violent crime that communities across Florida have had to deal with—until now.
The contrast couldn’t be clearer. After years of chaos, crime, and open borders under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, Florida is showing what real leadership looks like.
“Thank God we have a president that’s enforcing the law, that’s protecting American families. And we’re going to do everything we can to help him,” Uthmeier said.
This facility is more than just a place to hold criminal aliens. It’s a symbol. A declaration that the days of sanctuary cities and catch-and-release policies are over.
The Everglades facility will operate with joint oversight from state and federal agencies and could very well serve as a blueprint for other red states fed up with Biden’s lawless immigration policies.
While AOC obsesses over “optics” and tries to score likes on social media, Florida is taking real steps to make neighborhoods safer.
They’re locking up gang members, not giving them second chances.
They’re convicting traffickers, not cutting plea deals.
They’re standing with President Trump, not sabotaging him at every turn.
The construction timeline hasn’t been nailed down, but the direction is unmistakable: Florida is fully committed to Trump’s mission to enforce immigration laws. No amount of screaming from socialist politicians is going to derail this train.
The radical Left spent four years turning the U.S. into a free-for-all. Now they’re watching in horror as voters demand accountability.
Elections have consequences—and Florida is making sure this one counts.
So while AOC cries foul and the Squad clutches their pearls, Florida is cleaning up their mess—one bold move at a time.
