AOC REFUSES to Shut Down 2028 Speculation

For years, Democrats and their media allies have treated Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez like the inevitable future of the party. Now, with whispers already swirling around the 2028 presidential race, the New York congresswoman is once again refusing to rule anything out.

During an appearance Friday with former Obama strategist David Axelrod, Ocasio-Cortez was pressed directly about whether she plans to seek higher office in 2028. Axelrod specifically asked if she was considering either a White House run or a primary challenge against Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, whose leadership has increasingly frustrated the Democratic Party’s activist wing.

Instead of giving a straight answer, the progressive congresswoman pivoted into a sweeping ideological response that sounded more like a campaign stump speech than a denial.

“My ambition is to change this country. Presidents come and go. Senate, House seats, elected officials come and go. But single-payer healthcare is forever. A living wage is forever, workers’ rights are forever, women’s rights, all of that,” she said.

That response immediately fueled more speculation rather than shutting it down.
