Despite her repeated claims of growing up in a rough neighborhood, AOC actually spent her formative years in one of Westchester County’s comfortable suburbs. She attended Yorktown High School, a far cry from the tough streets she likes to reference.
The truth? She lived in Yorktown Heights, where the median household income is nearly double the national average. From there, she went on to attend Boston University—hardly an institution of the underprivileged, especially when tuition now exceeds $60,000 a year. Before ever stepping foot into Congress, she even scored a prestigious internship in the late Senator Ted Kennedy’s office.
