Seattle descended into chaos Saturday as far-left agitators — including Antifa and transgender activists — violently disrupted a peaceful Christian event organized to stand against the radical LGBTQ agenda. Held in Cal Anderson Park, the “Don’t Mess With Our Kids” rally quickly turned into a battleground as protesters clashed with police officers and attendees, ultimately forcing the event to shut down under police advisement for safety reasons.
The rally was part of a national initiative called “Mayday USA,” which is bringing peaceful gatherings to five major cities across the country to advocate for children’s rights and traditional family values.
According to The Seattle Times, both the Christian group and the counter-protesters each had approximately 500 participants. But only one side showed up ready for violence.
At around 1:30 p.m., tensions exploded. Police on the ground witnessed members of the radical counter-protest group throw projectiles at Christian attendees. Officers immediately moved in to arrest the offenders, but were quickly swarmed by additional violent protesters, resulting in more arrests.
