In a shocking turn of events, a woman has come forward accusing Doug Emhoff, husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, of slapping her during an incident at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. The woman, identified only as “Jane,” revealed the details of the alleged assault, casting a shadow over Emhoff’s public persona as a champion of feminism and equal rights.
Emhoff, who previously admitted to having an affair with his daughter’s nanny and getting her pregnant while still married to his ex-wife, is now facing fresh allegations from this 2012 event. While his representative vehemently denied the accusation, calling the claim “untrue,” Jane has decided to publicly share her side of the story, according to a report from the U.K.’s Daily Mail.
