“Great thing they have an example in the President of the United States who works all day,” Jones said. “If you don’t believe me, look at the Marine outside the Oval Office there all night because he is working throughout the night.”
Jones drew a sharp contrast between Trump’s tireless work schedule and that of former President Joe Biden.
“Joe Biden was at work late, in bed by 4 pm. Is he leading by example?” Jones asked. “The federal workforce should do the same [as Trump].”
Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy chimed in, pointing out Biden’s lackluster work ethic.
“It was a part-time job for that guy in the West Wing,” Doocy joked.
Biden’s presidency was marked by reports that he worked from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, often requiring a nap to make it through the day. Under his leadership, many federal workers remained in a comfortable remote-work setup, something that Jones openly mocked.
“Look how special they think they are,” Jones said. “When other Americans have jobs, they can’t find parking space. They have to go to the public parking and pay to be in the parking garage. They say that they have elderly family members that they have to take care of. So does every other American. We have to go to work.”
His message was clear: federal employees should toughen up and adjust to the same workplace expectations as private-sector workers.
“Save up and try to get somebody to take care of home health and try to schedule,” Jones added. “It’s like they want special treatment for everything. And their salary is way better than some of the other private sector jobs.”
Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade emphasized that forcing federal employees back to the office isn’t just about accountability—it’s also a step toward reducing wasteful government spending.

“We got to close the billions of dollars being wasted on empty buildings; that’s the low-hanging fruit when you cut the budget,” Kilmeade explained. “Number two is way too many workers that aren’t doing enough. And if they are doing more, you got to actually show your worth.”
Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has echoed similar sentiments, predicting that returning to in-person work would naturally weed out underperforming employees and streamline government operations.
“This is the Elon Musk style. ‘Show your worth.’ Show me what you are cooking or doing, or we’ll get rid of you,” Kilmeade said.
The message is clear: the days of cushy remote work and unchecked government bloat are over. Under Trump’s leadership, Washington is being reshaped into a more efficient, results-driven environment—whether federal employees like it or not.
