A FEMA whistleblower has exposed a surprising shift in the agency’s focus, claiming that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), traditionally responsible for leading recovery efforts in disaster-stricken areas, is now prioritizing “DEI initiatives” (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) over immediate disaster response.
In an interview with James O’Keefe, former Project Veritas founder, Kelsey Goodman, a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Emergency Manager for Region 4, shared her concerns, stating, “There are higher priorities given to different racial groups.” Goodman’s insights reveal a troubling new narrative within FEMA, suggesting that equity considerations are often prioritized above the agency’s foundational mission to protect and assist all Americans in times of need.

Goodman explained that FEMA’s evolving mission no longer places saving lives or reinforcing vulnerable communities at the forefront. Instead, she said, “The number one goal of FEMA is to instill equity in emergency management. It’s not to save lives. It’s not to create stronger communities that will weather future disasters.” This shift in priorities, Goodman claims, has left countless residents in hard-hit areas without the aid they urgently require.
