Trump’s ‘Violent Reality’ Plot? Rapinoe Has Her Say!

In a recent appearance on the podcast A Touch More, former soccer star and outspoken activist Megan Rapinoe voiced strong concerns about former President Donald Trump and his potential influence over the future of the country. Rapinoe, known for her athletic achievements and political stances, expressed both anxiety and a cautious hopefulness regarding the upcoming election, describing Trump’s vision for America as a “violent reality.”

“It is stressful. I am nervous, but I also am hopeful,” Rapinoe shared, offering a rare personal insight into her mindset going into the election. “I believe in people, and I certainly believe in women, and I believe that people want better than the grim, dark, just violent reality that Donald Trump has very clearly laid out for us,” she continued. Rapinoe made it clear she thinks Trump is openly revealing his intentions for the country, adding, “He’s telling everybody what he’s gonna do, and it’s really dark, and it’s really sad, and I don’t think anybody wants to live like that.”

Rapinoe’s comments come as she joined the list of prominent sports figures speaking out on politics, aligning herself with San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. Popovich, a vocal critic of Trump, recently called him “pathetic,” a sentiment Rapinoe echoed in her own remarks. “I actually really liked what Greg Popovich had to say about Donald Trump. He goes on to basically say you wouldn’t want this guy babysitting your child or working in your small business,” she explained, adding that Trump is “small, he’s mean, he makes fun of people.”
