Judge Engoron’s Decision on Trump’s $370M Trial Revealed!

According to NBC News, Judge Engoron will rule on Trump’s $370 million fraud trial in New York City on Friday.

The 11-week nonjury trial had the feel of a show trial in the Soviet Union. After a last-minute request for information on possible perjury by Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg, Judge Engoron delayed the verdict until mid-February.

After finding that Trump had committed fraud, Engoron dissolved his companies in New York City. The NY appellate court did, however, halt Engoron’s ruling.

Remember how NY AG Letitia James sought $370 million in “damages” in a case involving fraud that had no obvious victim? Accusing Trump of inflating assets and misleading lenders and insurers, she also wants to bar him and his sons from doing business in New York.

James originally demanded from Trump $250 million in damages.

Letitia James also wanted to bar Trump from the real estate business for life and double the amount of damages she was requesting from him.

Reducing a client’s asset valuations and still approving a loan is “atypical, but not entirely unusual,” according to a Deutsche Bank official who testified in November and sought to approve at least one of Trump’s loans.
