The renowned comedian Dave Chappelle does not flinch in the face of protests from agitated trans activists. He intends to maintain his position.
The “Chappelle’s Show” legend talked about meeting fellow comedian Jim Carrey in his new Netflix special, “The Dreamer.” The catch was that Carrey would later reveal himself as another comedian, the well-known Andy Kaufman, while filming “Man on the Moon.”

“From the moment he woke up, to the time he went to bed at night, he would live his life as Andy Kaufman. I didn’t know that… Everybody on the crew called him Andy,” remarked Chappelle, adding that before their meeting, Carrey’s acting style was not disclosed to him by his crew.
“I just went in to meet him, and when he walked into the room where we were supposed to meet, I screamed ‘Jim Carrey!’ and everyone said nooo!” Chappelle starts out by involving the audience more and more in the unpleasant situation. “”Call him Andy.”
“I was very disappointed because I wanted to meet Jim Carrey, and I had to pretend this n**** was Andy Kaufman. All afternoon. And he was clearly Jim Carrey. I could look at him and I could see he was Jim Carrey,” he continued.
“Anyway, I say all that to say: that’s how trans people make me feel,” He joked, evoking a cheer from the assembly.

Chappelle is under fire for his most recent stand-up special since it is said by mainstream media that he makes fun of transgender and handicapped people in his jokes.
“They’re not as organized as the gays,” he says. “And I love punching down.”
After a protracted sabbatical, Chappelle returns with a bang, releasing four specials in less than a year. His goal? to escape the cliched comic sketch show that used to define him. He takes on the subject of transgender difficulties head-on, defying the younger generation’s accusations that his comedy encourages hate speech.

Though he was reluctant to affiliate with any political party, the comedian was not hesitant to voice his opinions and had a clear message for an audience member on what he would do if former President Donald Trump were to win reelection.
“Probably get a significant tax break,” he quipped.
