Ella Emhoff, a 24-year-old, has launched a fundraising campaign on her personal Instagram account to demonstrate her support for providing immediate aid to the children of Gaza. It is noteworthy, therefore, that the post fails to mention the untimely deaths of innumerable Israeli children on October 7 at the hands of Hamas terrorists.
She uses her platform to spread the word about the financial request to her sizable 315,000 Instagram followers.
Through its continuous fundraising campaign, the nonprofit Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, based in Kent, Ohio, has amassed an astounding $7.8 million. According to ProPublica, the nonprofit brought in nearly $21 million in 2021 alone. Regarding Ella Emhoff, it is still unclear if she has personally contributed to this cause.
“It’s of tremendous concern and I find it abhorrent,” Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) told the Post. “To be honest with you, I am kind of stunned by it. It’s disturbing to the maximum degree.”
Van Drew, a House Homeland Security Committee member, believes that there is a good chance that any money transferred to Gaza to help its people would be vulnerable to Hamas theft.
Ella Emhoff distanced herself from her Jewish background by making a forceful declaration to reporters, which created intrigue.
“Ella is not Jewish,” the second daughter’s rep insisted to The Forward in 2021. “It’s not something she grew up with. Ella truly has no qualms with the faith, but she does not want to speak on behalf of Judaism, as she does not celebrate herself.”
