On Monday, the former president Donald Trump will take the witness stand in New York and testify in his own defense.
As per the Washington Times, Trump is presently defending himself against accusations of fabricating statements in order to secure loans and insurance for his enterprise in a civil trial.

Letitia James, the Democratic attorney general of the state, is reportedly looking forward to an exciting and vigorous session.
“Next week, Donald Trump himself will take the stand,” in a social media video, she stated.
She added: “And while I am sure he will try to hide his wrongdoing behind taunts, threats and name-calling, we will not be bullied out of uncovering the truth.”
With the goal of negatively depicting Trump, major liberal media sites have heavily engaged in reporting on the event and assessing its possible impact.
“Donald Trump is set to testify in a Manhattan courtroom on Monday in the $250 million civil fraud case that threatens to unravel the sweeping real estate empire and business bona fides the former president relied upon in his unlikely ascent to the White House,” U.S. News and World Report said.
The publication stated that “Beyond having a former president testify under oath, Trump taking the stand in his civil trial creates an unusual situation – one in which his bombastic nature and tendency to misrepresent will be constrained.”
Many conservatives feel that the accusations made against Trump are politically motivated and intended to prevent him from running for president in the 2024 contest.

As to a Fox News report, Trump has expressed that he and his kids are being targeted in what he terms as a political witch hunt.
President Trump’s son Eric spoke to the media on Friday and voiced his strong criticism of what he saw as an unfair attack on his father’s economic enterprise.
“What New York state is trying to do to my father is truly awful,” he stated, as reported by Fox News.
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” Trump said. “We have an unbelievable company. We have some of the best assets anywhere in the world. We’ve never had a default, we’ve never missed a loan payment.”
Furthermore, he stated that the Trump Organization employs a large number of people and manages a portfolio that includes important buildings, exclusive golf courses, and many other outstanding properties.
The former president is the sole witness scheduled to speak on that day, according to ABC News.
“We will reconvene on Monday at 10 a.m., and the first witness will be …?” Engoron asked Friday, according to the report.
“The only witness will be Donald J. Trump,” Andrew Amer, a state attorney, answered.
Just a thought: If the New York court is going to shut down Trumps New York operations and businesses how many people are going to go on unemployment. I would also suggest to you that they are probably not all Republican voters either. If Trump permanently moves out of New York, no more high taxes either. Oh, well.
