Donald Trump, a former president, talks about Rupert Murdoch’s departure from Fox News and anticipated changes to the network’s strategy. Raheem Kassam of The National Pulse and Donald Trump spoke at Mar-a-Lago about the media’s coverage of him, with a focus on Fox News in particular.
Murdoch’s departure from Fox News and election as chairman emeritus of the business he founded in 1996 were both announced yesterday.
The perception of Fox News’ animosity against Trump has been a recurring issue, particularly recently. Kassam drew attention to this and questioned Trump about Murdoch’s exit. Trump responded, “Well, I wish him luck. We’ve done fine with Fox. We’ve done well with Fox over the years.”
The former chairman of Fox News, Roger Ailes, was complimented by Trump, who recalled their close connection. And he dropped an intriguing indication that there might have been outside factors influencing the network’s course. “They picked their opponents, perhaps it’s the globalists, who knows why.”
Trump explained, “We had the greatest economy in history, we had the strongest border in history, we cut taxes greater than Ronald Reagan.” However, he felt a certain disconnect with the network, noting, “there’s an overhang that you just feel there’s something missing.”

Kassam further questioned whether Murdoch’s departure was due to his vain attempts to challenge Trump throughout the primary season. Without specifically mentioning him, Trump responded by criticizing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, saying, “Well, they put everything against DeSanctimonious and he’s not a talented person.”

According to a letter he addressed to business executives on Thursday, media mogul Rupert Murdoch, 92, has made a momentous announcement: He will be stepping down from his demanding leadership post to take on a more prestigious and honorary position inside the company.
“I am writing to let you all know that I have decided to transition to the role of Chairman Emeritus at Fox and News,” he wrote. “For my entire professional life, I have been engaged daily with news and ideas, and that will not change. But the time is right for me to take on different roles, knowing that we have truly talented teams and a passionate, principled leader in Lachlan who will become sole Chairman of both companies.”

“Our companies are in robust health, as am I. Our opportunities far exceed our commercial challenges. We have every reason to be optimistic about the coming years – I certainly am, and plan to be here to participate in them.”
The entrepreneur, a fervent supporter of free speech, attacked his rivals for siding with political elites rather than looking for the truth.
The aspirational Lachlan Murdoch, who plans to carry on his father’s legacy, thanked Rupert for his foresight and congratulated him on a great 70-year career. Now that Lachlan is the chairman of Fox, he has complete authority.
“On behalf of the FOX and News Corp boards of directors, leadership teams, and all the shareholders who have benefited from his hard work, I congratulate my father on his remarkable 70-year career,” said Lachlan Murdoch.
“We thank him for his vision, his pioneering spirit, his steadfast determination, and the enduring legacy he leaves to the companies he founded and countless people he has impacted. We are grateful that he will serve as Chairman Emeritus and know he will continue to provide valued counsel to both companies.”
The 92-year-old’s exit is clouded by controversy, putting his reputation in jeopardy. Fox, which has been suffering from low ratings ever before Tucker Carlson left, is currently dealing with a new generation of conservatives who are disenchanted with the way the network covers Republican leaders and conservative issues.
