Is DeSantis’s Campaign in Danger? One Question Unleashes Storm!

Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida, makes a stir by participating in the eagerly anticipated GOP primary in 2024.

The results DeSantis and his supporters had hoped for, however, have not materialized.

Ron DeSantis is dealing with a troubling campaign-related revelation.

In the quest to win the GOP presidential nominee for an unprecedented third straight term, Donald Trump was by far the front-runner.

As indicated by an upsurge in polls and an avalanche of endorsements from Congressional members and state lawmakers, DeSantis and his campaign staff were adamant that his participation into the race would lead to a huge boost in his popularity.

The right-wing opposition to Trump also believed that Ron DeSantis, who was seen as the greatest option, would win over GOP votes and unseat Trump as a result of the constant barrage of indictments brought by Democratic prosecutors.

Nothing happened.

Unlike what was anticipated, Trump’s campaign saw a huge increase in the polls, while DeSantis’ ratings stagnated.

During an interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis scowled as he replied to pointed questions about the errors committed.

“What’s going on with your campaign?” Bartiromo began. “There was a lot of optimism about you running for president earlier in the year. […] What happened?!”

DeSantis chuckled apprehensively and blamed media criticism for his lack of success in his campaign against Donald Trump.

“Maria, these are narratives,” DeSantis stated. “The media does not want me to be the nominee. I think that’s very, very clear. Why? Because they know I’ll beat [President Joe] Biden. But even more importantly, they know I will actually deliver on all these things.”

DeSantis has a distinguished record in Florida, where he has fiercely fought the growth of wokeness, protected the rights of the unborn, and vehemently supported the Second Amendment.

As a Republican, Donald Trump has endured insults like no other.

DeSantis realizes the difficulty ahead and states that it will take a lot of time and work to overtake Trump in the polls.

“I never expected to just snap fingers and all of a sudden, you know, you win seven months before anyone happens (sic),” DeSantis added. “You got to earn it and you got to work. And it requires a lot of toil and tears and sweat. And we’re going to do that.”

DeSantis said that he will take part in the August 23 Fox News presidential debate. He expects this event to draw a sizable audience and thinks it will be the tipping moment when most people begin taking an active interest in politics.

“Of course, I look forward to doing it,” DeSantis continued. “I think really, Maria, that’s when people are really going to start paying attention to the primary. I think up to this point, a lot of that has been about some of these legal cases. And I think a lot of the voters concern about that and understandably so.”

Since no previous president has ever run for his party’s nomination, DeSantis confronts a particularly difficult hurdle.

Trump is presenting himself as the incumbent in the 2024 contest, taking advantage of his strong popularity and extensive name recognition. In contrast to traditional primaries, when the early frontrunner frequently loses ground, Trump benefits from his special circumstance.
